Former high-level athlete Laure Aznar saw her life turned upside down the day severe osteoarthritis literally destroyed her knees. Refusing to accept her fate, she embarked on a real battle to overcome the disease and regain her quality of life.
Fasting, anti-inflammatory diet, herbal medicine… She tells us about her experience and the natural solutions that helped her get through it.
Fasting, a revelation that changed everything
Distraught by the disease, Laure began by researching and taking an interest in fasting. A revelation. During her first 14-day fast, she understood the importance of the link between diet and health, beyond the conventional treatments that were not working (anti-inflammatories, painkillers, injections…).
This founding experience pushed her to deepen her knowledge, devouring all the reference books on the subject (Seignalet, Kousmine…). From there was born her conviction that a natural and global approach could help her relieve her osteoarthritis where conventional medicine had failed.
The anti-osteoarthritis diet: the trigger
Laure then began a real revolution on her plate. Out with sodas, junk food and inflammatory foods, in with a healthy, antioxidant and anti-osteoarthritic diet. A radical change for this former addict to protein powders and ready-made meals!
On the menu: foods rich in antioxidants and omega-3 for their anti-inflammatory properties, lots of vegetables and spices, little red meat and dairy products. A natural and balanced diet that has paid off by allowing her osteoarthritis to regress.
Herbal medicine as a backup
In addition to this dietary rebalancing, Laure became passionate about plants and their benefits. Every day, she drinks herbal teas made from artigraphytum, horsetail or ash, known for their anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
A ritual that has become her signature, with her now famous “plant thermos” that never leaves her side! Easy to prepare and natural, these herbal teas help her manage pain and osteoarthritis flare-ups on a daily basis.
Adapted physical activity, an anti-osteoarthritis pillar
Another crucial lesson from Laure: the importance of continuing to move despite the pain. While she was advised to rest, she realized that regular and adapted physical activity was a real anti-osteoarthritis remedy.
By walking 30 minutes a day and practicing targeted exercises (cycling without resistance…), she stimulates her cartilage, strengthens her muscles and maintains the mobility of her joints. A virtuous circle that has greatly contributed to reducing her pain.
The creation of an “anti-osteoarthritis government”
To go even further, Laure surrounded herself with a whole team of complementary therapists: rheumatologist of course, but also osteopath, acupuncturist, magnetizer… Each one contributing to help her regain her former quality of life.
A holistic and integrative approach that aims to take into account all the dimensions of osteoarthritis: physical, emotional, energetic… With results to show for it, since Laure has managed to put her osteoarthritis into remission and resume a normal life.
